1000 Friends of Iowa, founded in 1998, is a statewide, membership-based nonprofit focused on engaging local residents around responsible and equitable land use, and addressing the impacts of irresponsible land use.
Our mission is to engage and unite Iowans in efforts to protect farmland & natural areas, revitalize neighborhoods, towns & cities, and improve quality of life for future generations.
