Growing Sustainably: A Panel Discussion On Rural And Urban Development In Iowa (7:30PM - 7:30PM)
The panel discussion will take place at Grinnell College in the South Lounge. Panelists include Ted Rapp, DRA Properties, Ankeny Iowa: Developer of Prairie Trail Community, a New Urbanist development in Ankeny, IA; John Peterson, Executive Director of the Ankeny Planning and Building Department and former Iowa Chapter President of the American Planning Association (APA); Bill Menner, USDA Rural Development State Director for Iowa; Tim Mason, outdoorsman and citizen activist with experience with TIF (An economic development incentive), Vision Iowa, and highly erodable Iowa bluff land.
