Join Iowans from across the state to celebrate and discuss our diverse connections with rivers and the environment. The River Congress is an opportunity to develop the framework for a progressive advocacy agenda for the 2009 legislative session – taking steps to improve and maintain the quality of Iowa’s rivers and streams for generations to come. We will continue to work together to achieve these initiatives. Help establish the RIVER BILL OF RIGHTS - a declaration of “river rights” to restore and protect our rivers and streams in their natural, free flowing state. Who should attend: Environmental Organizations • Conservationists & Environmentalists • Watershed Groups • Farmers • Wildlife Observers • Sportsman • Recreationists • Students • Anyone concerned about the quality of Iowa’s rivers. To keep apprised of River Congress details or to RSVP, contact Rosalyn Lehman at rlehman@iowarivers.org
