Annual Meetings

Every year 1000 Friends of Iowa hosts an annual meeting in a different city. These meetings are small-scale conferences for our members and others who are interested in 1000 Friends of Iowa. We always hear from local people about land use issues in their community. We host a members meeting where our members elect board members, and other business as stated in our By-Laws.

The 2007 annual meeting was held in Mount Vernon with the keynote speaker Thom Guzman, Director of the Downtown Resource Center at the Iowa Department of Economic Development. See the summer and fall issues of the Land Use Bulletin for details.
