Page 3 of 6 Renovated Commercial/Civic: Large City Award – Dubuque Initiatives, Dubuque 1000 Friends of Iowa is pleased to give Dubuque Initiatives the 2011 Best Development Award under the category of Best Renovated Commercial/Civic for the adaptive re-use of the Roshek Building. The judges admired the amazing collaborative effort demonstrated in this project to quickly adapt an existing downtown building for other uses that benefit the larger community.
